Continuing on the subject of Songs, and specifically the one below, there’s this line: “I called you on the phone/but you’re not home.” This brings up a question. In fact, it brings up this question: How long can this lyrical trope keep existing in the cell phone-era? I mean, it’s 2009, and maybe she just wasn’t as crazy about you as you are about her, so she only gave you her land line (which few have! I did a survey consisting of me thinking about a couple friends of mine), which, I guess, could happen, but maybe you should just get the message that way. Kind of a red flag, I would think.
This does not detract from the quality of the song, however!
