In 2009’s quest to find the band name that’s the hardest to Google. it’s starting to seem possible that Girls have lost the race. Why? Because now we have Songs. That’s right: SONGS. And you know what? They write very nice songs! In all seriousness, though, this is getting ridiculous.

However, Songs are from New Zealand and they sound like the Go-Betweens and Flying Nun (and are even doing a split with The Bats!), so they’re forgiven. Still, I can’t even imagine what’s next except that maybe I’m going to call my band And.
